Privacy policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information Thinkable Courses collects through thinkable.courses, why, who we share it with and your choices. Thinkable Courses is operated by [TO CONFIRM] (company legal name), [TO CONFIRM] (ABN). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Your email address, when you ask for Episode 1, pre-order the course or sign in to watch it.
- Whether you ticked "Send me updates", and when, so we can prove your consent to marketing emails.
- Order details: the price you paid, any promo code, the order status and dates. We never see or store your card number; Airwallex handles payment details.
- Where your visit came from: the link or ad you used (UTM tags), the tour city or QR code, and the page you arrived on.
- Technical details your browser sends, such as device type, browser and IP address, and Meta's advertising cookies (_fbp and _fbc).
- Your progress through the course once it opens, so the player can resume where you left off.
Why we use it
- To send you Episode 1 when you ask for it.
- To take your pre-order, confirm it by email and send your access link when the course opens.
- To give you access to the course for 12 months and remember your progress.
- To send updates about Learn Evolution, but only if you ticked the box. If you start a pre-order but don't finish it, we may send one reminder, again only if you ticked the box.
- To understand which ads, emails, tour events and links lead to sign-ups and sales, so we spend our advertising sensibly.
- To handle refunds, support questions, fraud prevention and our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run this site for us, and only what each one needs:
- Airwallex: takes your payment and processes refunds.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Convex: hosts the database that stores sign-ups, orders and course progress.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- Mux: streams the course videos.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): measures how our ads perform, through the Meta Pixel in your browser and the Conversions API from our server. We send Meta a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, never the readable address.
Information stored overseas
Some of these services store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. We choose services that protect personal information to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and advertising
We use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies so Meta can tell us when a visit from an ad leads to a sign-up or a purchase. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account. The site still works without them.
Marketing emails
We send marketing emails only if you've ticked "Send me updates". Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it promptly. Emails about your order or your course access are sent whether or not you ticked the box, because they're part of what you bought.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax law requires (generally five years in Australia). We keep sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and course progress for as long as your access lasts plus a reasonable period for support.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted where we're not required to keep it. Email support@thisis42.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. If we don't resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we'll tell you by email.
